We can assist with identifying and compiling the relevant documentation, carry out due diligence, negotiate the terms of the contract and liaise with banks.

Landlord and tenant

Commercial landlord and tenant law can involve a number of different issues from negotiating and drafting heads of terms and lease agreements to ongoing management, renewals or subsequent termination. If you do end up in a dispute, we can also manage and conduct any proceedings for you including possession proceedings and proceedings for rent arrears and/or service charges, always with a view to resolving the dispute as quickly and cost effectively for you as possible.

A licence to occupy brings with it its own unique set of considerations and there are distinct pro and cons of entering into such an arrangement. But with no security of tenure and no rent control or exclusive use, it’s essential to take comprehensive advice before agreeing to a licence arrangement.
